Meet Corinne!

Corinne is a dedicated Habitat 4 Paws volunteer since 2022 who shares her home with three fabulous cats and one lovable rescue dog. All of her pets are rescues, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!

How did you get involved with Habitat 4 Paws?

I saw volunteer opportunities advertised at Frisco PetSmart.

What type of volunteering do you do with H4P?

I am a cat room volunteer, foster both cats and dogs, and help with the Habitat 4 Paws social media accounts.

Why do you volunteer?

I love helping animals and being around animals - they are amazing companions and bring so much joy! It’s very rewarding to rescue an animal and be part of their journey to a forever home. I really love to see the transformations from time of rescue to time of adoption. In many cases the animals are sick or scared, and over time they become healthy, social, and their personalities really blossom which is so fun to see! It’s great to meet to many different animals, all with their own charm, and to see them living their best lives after adoption. Sometimes the adopters will share really sweet updates of the animals months after adoption and that’s always the best surprise!

How do you spend your time when you're not volunteering?

I love to swim, ride bikes, watch TV, go out to dinner, and vacation to the mountains or beach!

Meet Stephanie!

Stephanie is an animal rescue volunteer with 8 years of experience, 6 of those proudly spent volunteering with Habitat 4 Paws. She shares her life with two lovable pups—a husky and a pitbull mix—and three charming cats: one gray, one orange, and one black and white (a true purrfect trio!).

How did you get involved with Habitat 4 Paws?

When I moved to Frisco in 2019, I started volunteering at the H4P Cat Room at Petsmart.  A year or so later, I got my first foster cat (a pregnant mama).  Helping her and her babies get ready for their forever homes was a privilege, and I continued to foster cats and kittens until I had human babies of my own.  Now I volunteer on the administrative side - keying in adoptions and filing adoption documents.

What type of volunteering do you do with H4P?

Admin task assistance, foster and event volunteer in the past

Why do you volunteer?

I have a passion for animals, and love working with cats. I even drove one of my feral fosters to Austin Pets Alive! for their barn cat program.  While I don't have the ability to foster right now, I want to stay involved and do so through administrative work.

How do you spend your time when you're not volunteering?

I am a working mom of 2 human children, with 2 dogs and 3 cats.  I enjoy riding my Peloton, reading fantasy books, and catching up on the latest Netflix series.

I enjoy competing in model aircraft events, cycling and photography.
