Find the pet you're interested in on our website and click on the "Fill Out Adoption Form" button. Fill out the form and email it to info@habitat4paws.org

We'll review your application and contact you.

If you seem like a good match, we'll set up a home visit!

If everything looks good, we'll leave the dog or cat for a week-long trial with all the supplies you need for the visit.

At the end of the week if everyone is happy, we'll finalize the adoption!
It's our goal to place pets with loving families.
We require that you visit with a pet and adoption counselor. We prefer that all family members be present when the pet is introduced to its potential new family. Current pets are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the meeting too.
If a good match is found, adopters complete an application. Same day adoptions may be done; however, Habitat 4 Paws reserves the right to request a home visit prior to adoption. We do not hold pets nor do we adopt on a first-come/first-serve basis.
Adopters must be 21 and have a valid Texas driver’s license or a state-issued ID that matches the home address. If new to the area, a utility bill in the name of adopter will suffice. Renters must present proof of pet deposit or landlord approval to have a pet.

All animals have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, had a heart-worm test, a Feline Leukemia test and a fecal check and are dewormed, microchipped and current on heart-worm and flea preventative medications at the time of adoption.
