Foster a pet Save many lives

Moose Foster Pet
submit foster application

By becoming a foster, you help H4P save the lives of more cats and dogs. H4P has fully vetted animals ready for foster homes, which means no veterinary appointments for you. We provide crates, food and toys to make your experience an easy one. Please take a look at fully vetted animals who would love to be your temporary house guest. Our foster application helps us match up your preferences with a needy animal. Fostering is an importation part of our mission and we'd love to have you on our team.

A recent foster's story
The most rewarding experience for me is knowing I gave a pet a chance and then seeing them united with great families. Take a look at a video of Moose playing with his new dad that I recently received. How can that not warm your heart? It means the world to me as a foster mom to see how happy they are.

Paws Pantry Feeding pets in need

The need for dog and cat food in the Dallas-Fort Worth area ranges from local shelters to individual citizens to other 501(c) rescue groups.

Paws Pantry was created to provide temporary food assistance to those in need. We collect dog and cat food from the public through food drives and donations and distribute the food where it is most needed.

Our goal is to provide temporary help so that pets will not be relinquished to city shelters due to lack of food.

In 2012, over 5,200 lbs. of food was distributed to the needy, and since its inception the Paws Pantry has distributed 12,400 lbs. of food.

Here's how to help...

  1. Host food drives
  2. Donate to Paws Pantry
  3. Distribute Paws Pantry flyer

Please check our events page for scheduled dates or contact us at

The following items are needed:

  1. Dry and Canned Dog Food
  2. Dry and Canned Cat Food
  3. Puppy Food
  4. Kitten Food
  5. Puppy and Kitten Formula
  6. Kitty Litter

Paws Pantry also accepts doghouses, new or gently used, in addition to medium and large travel crates that meet airline standards. These items will be donated to other 501(c) rescue groups. To make arrangements to donate these particular items, please contact H4P here.
